

Dominique Botha is a writer with an award‑winning body of work published locally and internationally. She combines creative practice with active cultural leadership and arts advocacy. She is a regular contributor of essays, reviews and creative work to South African and international publications. She is a speaker and panellist at literary festivals and conferences; she conducts workshops in creative writing and bilingual poetry, mentors emerging writers and participates in community arts projects.
She is a board member of the Spier Arts Trust, supporting regional arts initiatives and community engagement. She is also a board member of the Stellenbosch Trust, supporting higher education and cultural programmes at Stellenbosch University. She has a Master’s Degree in Applied Linguistics from Stellenbosch University (1998) and a Master’s Degree in Creative Writing from the University of the Witwatersrand (2012).
