Feyi Fawehinmi is a Nigerian writer, author and podcaster focused on African political economy, development and state capacity. Based in the United Kingdom, he has written publicly for nearly two decades, combining historical perspective with close attention to institutions, incentives and the practical questions of reform.
He is co-author of Formation: The Making of Nigeria from Jihad to Amalgamation, which traces the political, economic and institutional forces that shaped Nigeria before 1914. He is also co-founder of 1914 Reader, an essay and ideas platform, and co-host of its Frontier Matters podcast.
His writing and commentary have appeared in the Financial Times, BBC and Wall Street Journal; his work has also been reviewed or featured by The Economist, The New York Review of Books, CNN and The Guardian. Through Frontier Matters and public events, Feyi has interviewed academics, policymakers, entrepreneurs and writers, and has taken part in conversations at forums and festivals. Alongside his public work, he is a Fellow of ACCA with nearly two decades of experience across UK banking, asset management and insurance.
